About Lingobyte

A technology company based in Kampala that builds, maintains and teaches, because good technology only helps when people can use it. Our regional office in Ishaka, Bushenyi opens in February 2027.

We don't just teach. We build.

Lingobyte is first a technology solutions provider for businesses, schools and healthcare facilities. Good digital operations need solid infrastructure and skilled people, so we procure hardware, design computer labs and workspaces, build web and software systems, and maintain all of it so it keeps working.

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you engage with our digital infrastructure solutions, web platforms, and educational services.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the nature of your engagement with Lingobyte, we may collect the following types of information:

Organizational & Telemetry Data: Facility details, network topology logs, hardware health diagnostics, and system uptime metrics gathered strictly for the execution of our Active Maintenance Program (AMP).
Personal Information: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and institutional roles of designated IT liaisons, strategy team contacts, or individuals registering for B2C training programs.
SLA Portal Data: Support ticket histories, diagnostic reports, and technical correspondence generated via our secure encrypted support portal.

3. How We Use Your Information

Data collected by Lingobyte is utilized strictly to fulfill our Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliver world-class technology solutions. Specifically, we use your data to:

Monitor infrastructure health to guarantee 99.9% uptime and prevent "Technology Decay."
Provide rapid P1 (4-hour) and P2 (12-hour) technical response times for incident resolution.
Communicate updates regarding network installations, custom software development, or training schedules.

Lingobyte does not sell, rent, or lease organizational or personal data to third-party entities.

4. Data Security & Encryption

We treat institutional data with the highest level of security. Our SLA Support Portal and custom cloud databases transmit data via secure, 256-bit encrypted channels. Access to incident logs and network telemetry is strictly restricted to designated institutional liaisons via authenticated, unique Contract IDs.

Terms of Service

Effective date: June 20, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging with Lingobyte for B2B hardware procurement, custom software engineering, the Active Maintenance Program (AMP), or individual B2C training programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the institution or individual) and Lingobyte.

2. Active Maintenance Program (AMP) Guidelines

For institutional clients enrolled in our AMP, the following operational terms strictly apply to ensure our promised 99.9% uptime:

Response Times: We guarantee a 4-hour technical response for Priority 1 (Critical) incidents and a 12-hour response for Priority 2 (Standard) incidents, provided they are logged correctly via the official Lingobyte SLA Portal using an active Contract ID.
Voidance of SLA: Lingobyte's maintenance guarantees and uptime liability may be rendered void if covered infrastructure is tampered with, physically altered, or repaired by unauthorized third-party technicians without prior written consent from the Lingobyte Technical Directorate.
Quarterly Audits: Organizations must grant physical and network access to Lingobyte engineers for mandated quarterly hardware health audits to maintain SLA validity.

3. User Obligations & Credentials

Clients are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their institutional Contract IDs and SLA portal credentials. Any incident dispatch logged using valid credentials will be treated as authorized by the institution. Lingobyte assumes no liability for downtime caused by delayed reporting due to lost or unshared credentials within an organization.

4. Limitation of Liability

While we architect systems for maximum resilience, Lingobyte shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from force majeure events (e.g., national grid power surges), unauthorized third-party network interference (e.g., cyberattacks on pre-existing infrastructure), or failures arising from legacy hardware not procured or approved by Lingobyte.

5. Governing Law

These terms, and any disputes arising from the provision of our technology solutions or educational services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
